The Engineering Innovation Centre houses industry-standard equipment and the latest nano, carbon and hybrid technologies to ensure students who study here are work ready once they leave us.

What to expect
Our college open days are designed for those aged 16+ who are looking to take their education further. We offer a number of opportunities from A Levels, to BTECs and apprenticeships, and this is your chance to see what’s on offer, get a first glimpse of college life – and even apply on the night! You’ll be able to find out everything from course information, to facts about finance, to help you make the right decision for you.

Our apprenticeship team will be on hand to tell you all about apprenticeships and the benefits of being an apprentice and the current vacancies available. Employers may be there for you to talk to directly and there will be a selection of experts available offering advice and guidance.

Access to University Courses
If you are over 18-years-old, and wanting to progress to university, our Level 3 Access to Univerisity courses are designed to help you unlock new career prospects, and advance onto a university-level course once completed. On the night, our Access to University tutors will be available to answer any questions you may have and guide you through your options.
If you’re aged over 19 you may even be eligible to apply for the Advanced Learner Loan to help pay for your tuition fees for an Access to University course. You’ll be able to find out more on the night.
University-level Courses
With the opening of our Vision University Centre, we’re offering more university-level courses to more students than ever before – all of which are flexible and can easily be fitted around other commitments. HE programmes on offer include HNCs, HNDs, foundation degrees and full honours degrees. Alongside this, students can choose to study professional courses in accounting, HR and purchasing and supply, or attend a number of masterclasses.
The centre provides students with state-of-the-art facilities including modern learning spaces, IT suites, a learning resource centre, a 100-seat lecture theatre and science laboratories. Join us to find out more about Higher Education and our validating universities.
Careers advice
We appreciate that with all the different educational options available, it can be quite overwhelming for those who haven’t got a clear career goal in mind. As a result, our careers team will be on hand to provide impartial, informative advice and guidance – helping you to make a decision about your next steps.
Support services
You will also be able to access our support services to ask any questions you may have, such as whether you might be eligible for financial support, how to get to college using our college bus service and additional learning support.
Getting here
The Derby Road campus is in close proximity to Mansfield train station. Bus and taxi services are also available. There is ample parking on-site.
When you arrive
Make your way to the main reception or ground floor entrance where you will be greeted by our friendly staff who will provide you with an open day guide and our latest course guide that contains plenty of useful information. The team will be around throughout the day should you need further assistance.
